The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

On the banks of the Mississippi, Tom Sawyer and his cheeky friends seek out adventure at every turn. Then one fateful night they witness a murder. The boys swear never to reveal the secret, and run away to be pirates and search for hidden treasure. But when Tom gets trapped in a cave with the murderer, can he escape unharmed?

Mark Twain’s classic tale of high-jinks, mischief and murder is now paired with a new introduction by Newbery Medal winner Richard Peck, author of A Year Down Yonder. It also includes a behind-the-scenes journey, author profile and activities.

I really enjoyed reading this! It was very funny, I laughed out loud a few times! It was also very exciting, and it was full of adventure. This book is for both girls and boys. I’m a girl and I loved it, and I can see how boys would love it too. I really recommend this book to you.
