It is strange to think I once knew nothing of death. Now death stalks me.

Kai Province, Japan, 1216. Kimi and Hana lead privileged lives as daughters of the Jito, a respected and powerful man. Until their father is murdered. Now the sisters are being hunted by their father’s killer. They must disguise themselves and find somewhere to hide. The solution they come up with is brilliant and dangerous. It will either save them – or end in terrible bloodshed.
