  1. liked it

It is a good book by Roald Dahl it is about a tortoise .(esio trot is tortoise backwards.)

Her neighbour is jealous that the woman loves the tortoise more then him.

the woman is sad that the tortoise is so small so the man byes a new tortoise with the same markings but bigger and takes esio trot and swaps it.

  2. This book is very funny. The people have no idea that Esio Trot is simply backwards! They totally believe what is happening and believe the tortoise is growing. Very funny and a nice story!

  3. I loved reading this book as a mini read, and when i got it a few years ago, I was so pleased with it when I was finished. I think it’d be perfect for a class of year 4’s or 5’s as a good classroom read:D

  6. loved it

I have read this books with all the other amazing rold dahl books but I think this one is the best because of it’s word use the word esio trot actualy means. Ha it is quite clever and funny now even though I read it in year 3 but the thing I like the most is the cunning plan of the man trying to go uot with his nabour and what he does LOL :) ;)

  8. A good funny story with a good ending. Not one of my personal best from Roahl Dahl. Would still recommend to others though.

  9. liked it

I like Esio Trot because it’s funny when he loses his turtle and duplicates them. Esio Trot backwards is Tortoise! I like this book, 4 stars.

  10. loved it

Clever and amusing because of the ‘dramatic’ irony. (oh and by the way, it’s ‘Tortoise’ backwards in case you didn’t already know) hehe, loved it :D
