   We read this book in school last year and I really thought it was going to be good, but I was wrong. Other people really liked the book but I just found it really boring. I expected to enjoy it as I always do with Roddy Doyle’s books but it was just sort of dead. I really didn’t like the bit at the end of each chapter where it tells Gráinne’s story – it’s extremely boring and repetitive. So finally, I’m sorry to say it wasn’t a great book in my opinion and I have seen better from Roddy Doyle.
