All reviews for Lucky Star

  1. Cat and Mouse come from opposite sides of the track. Tearaway Mouse’s graffiti art has the police on his tail. Rich kid Cat has the world at her feet, but her problems are tearing her apart. Mouse is doing his best to stay out of trouble. Cat is doing her best to land herself in it. They’ve both had it tough, but when they meet they thank their lucky stars. Weird and wonderful things happen when they’re together – but how long can it last? Because everyone has their secrets – and there can be only one winner in a game of cat and mouse… A warm, touching and memorable story of friendship against all the odds.

This book is truly satifying, and i must admit its one of the rare books that i would read again/reccomend to everyone i know.

Its about a boy called Mouse who lives in a flat on the Eden Estate with his mum. There’s one thing he enjoys, but its not something people will apllaud him for…Graffiti!

Well, everyone knows that Graffiti never comes in handy, right? Wrong!

When trouble rises on the Estate, they spray paint the doors of those who are causing the trouble…

Wait a moment, i haven’t mentioned Cat (Cat and Mouse, has something clicked’?) They meet when Mouse find a stray dog. When Mouse throws’ his chip papers’ across the rounds and into the gutter, he didn’t realise the dog would go after it!

A cute, posh and confident girl on a bicycle accidently runs over the dog, Lucky…And thats where the trouble begins!

  5. This is a fantastic follow up to Cathy Cassidy’s book D-I-Z-Z-Y. The main character is Mouse who played a small quite boy in the book dizzy. Now he’s a bit older we re-visit him and his many troubles. This book looks at gang violence, romance and snobiness.

  8. loved it

This book is my favourite. Mouse is my favourite character. I love the way Mouse’s past comes back. I hope they don’t make it into a film then when you read the story it won’t let you picture it and make it your images.

This book is undescribable. A mixture of sweet and sour, salt and sugar. Plus, it was my first Cathy Cassidy book. =)
