Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls: Moving Day

Allie Finkle has a dog called Marvin, two annoying little brothers – and a bunch of rules for everything, based on bitter experience! The rules go something like this: never buy a pet that poops in your hand. Never put a cat in your suitcase. And never, never let your family move into a haunted house! But when Allie’s family force her to move to a creepy old house in town, where she’s the new girl at a new school and minus her best friend, Allie is stuck out on her own with only her rules to rely on. Before long, Allie’s life is going totally haywire, and she’s making and breaking rules all over the place!

This is a great book by Meg Cabot for girls. The refreshing character of Allie Finkle really makes the book interesting. Her in-house and school drama is so absorbing and how she overcomes these issues are quite inspirational in a way. Her principled rules are great even though some can be silly on funny ways. I’m so glad Meg Cabot wrote books for young girls, she is an amazing writer.
