This is a great and quirky read by the inspirational Cathy Cassidy. It looks at a teen who’s best friends parents have just fostered a boy named Paul. The book looks at bullying, romance, and frienddship.

I absolutely adore this book, and would recomend it to children aged 10 – 15. It is a feel – good yet emotional story about a girl who has a best friend that falls in love with her brother. Then the best friend gets a new foster brother who is very difficult and nobody likes him. What will happen when one day he suddenly disapears and his scruffy boots are found beside the lapping sea? You’ll have to read to find out!

Driftwood is a fab book!!!!!!!!! This is one of cathy cassadies best books.Also it was the first book i read by cathy.It`s very descriptive and has a good use of vocab in it.Plus because someone gets bullied in it0there is some web sites, books and phone numbers to call and read if youb do ever get bullied.Finally it also tells you in the back about why cathy calledthe boom driftwood and what er opinion of the book is too.
Great book would fully recomend this book to all the Cathy cassady fans!!!
