  4. loved it

It’s a little strange how even though these books each have their unfortunate event they are really enjoyable, each page spent in anticipation of Violets inventions, Klaus’ knowledge and sunny’s Bites. we join the adventures of the Baudelaire orphans as the evil count Olaf tries to steal their fortune

  5. liked it

I’m not saying I like stories with sad endings, but this series is really good. Every conflict makes me wants to continue reading. For those who dislike stories with sad endings, it might not be a good idea, but sometimes tragedy makes story better, more alive.

I thought it was sad, but interesting. I have read it lots of times and have read all the other books.

  7. rubbish

I first read these books aged eight or nine and thought they were really good! I tried to read them again this year and I did’nt know what I had been thinking. They are terrible books with no happy endings and a great big pile of misery. I don’t know how Lemony Snicket could be so mean to his characters as when I write a stort I always want a character to have a happy ending.

  8. This depressing book is a dazzling book for misery and sadness. If the Baudelaires wasn’t introduced to us readers we wouldn’t have learn’t the basic things in life without Lemony Snicket. My favourite character was Klaus because he seemed the most relaxed of all the misery the Baudelaire’s had gone through.
