  2. For me, I thought Hetty feather was a really lovely book, but it was a little hard to get into. At the age I read it, I wasn’t used to books written in different time periods, but after I was really glad I did read it, because although it’s fiction, I learnt an alot about foundlings and how hard life was. It was an enjoyable book, and I got Sapphire Battersea for christmas, but its slightly long winded, for younger children. :)

This is a very good, eye opening book full of surprises. It follows the character of Hetty Feather, a young victorian girl sent to a home to be trained as a servant. She sets out to find her real mum, and you won’t believe who it is… I cried when I read this. Once i started reading I couldnt put it down

  10. Hetty Feather is a fab book about a Victorian ‘orphan’, who lives in a big school/orphanage. It tells of her hardships and how she gets her own way in life!
