The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones
On her thirteenth birthday, Blue makes a desperate wish. To be transformed into a cool, confident teenager. Enter Red, appearing from nowhere like a wacky fairy godmother. She’s only visible to Blue – in fact, she IS Blue, but a year older! With Red by her side to guide her, Blue can avoid all the gruesome embarrassments that go hand in hand with being thirteen. But Blue’s future self is soon causing heaps of crazy trouble. And as she guides Blue through the minefield of teenage life, what dark secrets is she hiding? A time-travelling mystery with a soft centre and a stunning twist, from the wacky imagination of Susie Day.

This book is amazing! But the ending is so sad…

I really enjoyed the book and thought it was mind-blowing and incredible. I love the thought of the two people as the same person; same looks, but opposite personalities. I liked Bluebell and I liked her other version, Red, and I think they are really cool. The sad part for me was when on her 13th birthday, Blue wished that she became a cool, confident teenager in the future; however the wish took an unexpected twist. My favourite part is when Blue meets Merlin for the last time before she goes back as it’s a really special moment.
