Dear Hound
Alfie the deerhound is a big grey puppy. He loves cheese, digging holes – and his boy, Charlie. But now poor Alfie has got lost, and he’s scared. Scared of thunderstorms and being hungry, and never seeing Charlie again… Meanwhile, Charlie doesn’t know what to do, but one thing’s for sure: he’ll never stop looking for his dear hound. As the weeks pass, Alfie learns to live outdoors, raiding bins for food and making friends with foxes. But will he ever find his way back to Charlie – and his big squashy beanbag in the kitchen? A heartwarming new story of being lost and being found from the much-loved creator of The Worst Witch and The Large Family.
