  2. loved it

This book is short and sweet but also sad. The main character is a boy called Noah barleywater who is a 8 year old boy who, one day, decides to run away from his dad and his very sick mother. On his travels he meets an old man who is very kind and caring. Noah takes a liking to the man and they become very good friends. The old man tells Noah of his life and his achievements which changes Noah’s decision of leaving home….

This book is probably for 9-100 year olds, so anyone could read it! John Boyne has done an amazing jog writing this and I would defiantly recommend reading ‘the terrible thing that happened to Barnaby brocket’ and for older readers, ‘the boy in the striped pyjamas’. Both are amazing books!

    Enjoy x x
