The Wolf Princess

Sophie and her friends can’t believe it when, on a school trip to Russia, they find themselves on the wrong train. Thrown out in the snow at a deserted station, they’re completely lost. Until they are rescued by the beautiful and mesmerizing Princess Anna Volkonskaya, who takes them to her winter palace. At first, the girls are captivated by her exotic stories of wolves and lost diamonds. But then the Princess starts to take a special interest in Sophie. As a blizzard rages and white wolves howl outside, the girls begin to feel afraid… A sinister mystery set in a crystalline landscape of snowfall and danger, weaving together skeins of horror, adventure and romance.

  • this book seemed pretty boring at the start but as I read on deeper and deeper into the book, the magical touch came to me and I knew that I was going to be stuck with it until I had finished reading it.

    This book was absolutely amazing and had lots of twists. Recommended to readers who like fantasy and adventures(9+)! The change of life in this story is fascinating and the adjectives are the best I’ve read in a while. The author really has a way of absorbing you into the text. Very intriguing and mind-puzzling!

    I liked this book. Sometimes I was a little confused though. The really cool thing was that I learnt several Russian words and phrases.

    I tend to only read Jacqueline Wilson books with a few exceptions but when I read this book I couldn’t stop reading it because my eyes were fixed to the page. It is an amazing story with lots of adventure yet such a simple story line. It is a must read. Thanks, I hope this has helped!
