Alice-Miranda at School

Can one little girl (with a very big name!) change a big school? When Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones arrives at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies, it’s obvious that something is wrong. The headmistress, Miss Grimm, has gone missing; the gardens are bare of flowers, and a curious stranger is lurking around the school. But as Alice-Miranda tries to solve the mystery, she finds herself having to face bullies like the stuck-up, spoiled Alethea Goldsworthy. Will she be able to overcome the odds and discover the school’s big secret? Well – if anyone can, it’s Alice-Miranda!

  • I love reading all of Enid Blyton’s wonderful boarding school stories. This book by Jacqueline Harvey is a mordern boarding school and sounds very interesting indeed. I think it will have a twist.
