Eragon

One boy… One dragon… A world of adventure! When a poor farm boy, Eragon, finds a polished stone in the forest, he thinks his lucky discovery will feed him for the winter. But when the stone brings forth a dragon hatchling, Eragon realises he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Thrust into a perilous world of destiny, magic and power, his simple life is shattered overnight. Armed only with an ancient sword, Eragon and his fledgling dragon must tackle the harsh terrain and dark creatures of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the whole Empire may rest in his hands…
