Escape from Shangri-La

Cessie’s grandfather is a broken man. His own son has turned him away, and now he’s stuck in the place he fears most: a nursing home called Shangri-La. But Cessie still loves him, and she’s determined to help him escape and unravel the mystery of his past. It’s a past he remembers only in glimpses – a lifeboat, a tin of condensed milk, and a terrifying night on the beaches of Dunkirk in World War Two. With Cessie’s help, can her grandfather put the broken pieces of his life back together again?

This book is a mixture of feelings as for its as if you’re there. It also tells you how you shouldn’t judge a person how they look.It may even be one of your relatives.Additionally, you should always treat a person with respect even though you don’t know them however it does not mean to go wherever they go as for its for your own safety

  • Escape from Shangri-la is a very emotional book, and it surprises you a lot if you actually read it, as you would expect Shangri-La to be some tropical island somewhere, but it is actually a nursing home!!!!!This book is a must-have and is great for people who like really emotional stories
