Michael Morpurgo Pack: Ages 9-11

Plunge yourself into a whirlpool of excitement and emotion with an epic collection from one of our true greats. In this pack of acclaimed favourites, Michael Morpurgo shows how the most powerful stories can emerge from the most tragic events, including natural disasters and the terrible losses of war. These hypnotic tales bring to life some of modern history’s darkest moments, including the bombing of Dresden, the ongoing war in Afghanistan and the horrors of the Indian Ocean tsunami. But it’s not all serious: light-hearted fun and fantasy are also in store for lucky readers, including tales of the legendary King Arthur and the rollicking story of a ghostly pirate queen!

We are reading Kensuke’s Kingdom at school and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have also read War Horse and Shadow; I would highly recommend them. Michael Morpurgo is an amazing author so I am sure the other books will be just as good.

There are many good stories here, some better than others but they are books that make you think and they are easy enough to get into. I liked them
