Mr Hoppy’s plan is ingenious, this a great Roald Dahl book even though people haven’t heard of it.

This book is very funny. It’s my first Roald Dahl book. It’s about a man named Mr. Hoppy who loves Mrs. Silver and Mrs. silver loves Alfie, her tortoise. Well anyways, one day Mr. Hoppy found a way to win her heart with the help of some magic, cabbage, Alfie the tortoise and some other tortoises.
Roald Dahl is the word’s no.1 story teller indeed!
I liked Quentin Blake’s illustrations very much.
One more thing. The funniest thing is that Esio Trot is tortoise backwards!

I loved this book! I didn’t realise that Esio trot was tortoise backwards!! That’s soooo clever! This book is definitely one to read and one for younger children, older ones can enjoy as well, but be warned its not that long at all! Good for a short read though! This a romantic, funny and heart warming story about a tortoise who truly is amazing but as well he brought a family together:) please read!!! Xx
