I just love this cover! It’s so bright and colorful and the white really sets off the pink!

An Urgent Message of Wowness is about a girl name Heather P. Smith (who likes to annoy everyone by not telling them what the “P” stands for), who thinks she’s the only one isn’t normal in her family. She has a perfect big brother, who all the girls like and aspires to be a dentist just like his father. A cute, perfect little sister, who loves playing tea parties. A perfect mum who works in a posh dress shop. And a perfect dad who’s a dentist. And then there’s her, the 20% imperfectness.

Then Heather’s dad drops a bombshell, and now her perfect mum has quit her job, works at an old charity shop, goes out dancing the salsa, has a new rock chick hair cut, wears punk boots, sold the 4×4 for a piece of junk, has regular parties and is best friend’s with cleaner. Her perfect brother wears eyeliner, manages a band, tears their dad’s face out of pictures, and invites spooky goth girls into his room. Her perfect sister has mutated all her toys and paints herself, and scares her entire ballet class by dressing up like a witch. And her perfect dad? Well, he’s just not there anymore…

Everything’s changing for Heather, and she feels like the only normal person in her family. Will things ever go back to normal, or will Heather’s life be unnormal forever?

I loved this book, it was really funny and had true meaning to it.

    My star rating is 5/5!
