Cathy Cassidy Pack

Shimmering tales from a shining talent. Upbeat, frank and true to life, they’ll linger in your mind. In this pack you’ll meet Cat and Mouse, forging a friendship from opposite sides of the tracks, and Scarlett, who needs to exorcise her fury with her runaway dad. Then there’s Dizzy, coming face-to-face for the first time with a mother who puts her whole world in a spin, and Jude, who dreams of being rescued by a knight on shining rollerblades… These touching, frank stories of growing up and fitting in are wise and compassionate, and the voices of their teenage heroes and heroines always ring true.

These Cathy Cassidy books were very popular amongst my friends and I never quite understood why. Her books are quite fascinating with interesting characters. Some parts are funny but most of them are very sad. I got quite bored with it but I l see why people like them. I would recommend the books to my friends and a tiny plus, I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but the covers for these books are pretty cute.

    Cathy Cassidy

She’s been an art teacher, magazine editor and agony aunt but we like her best as a top-selling author. If you love books about family, friendship and chocolate, then look no further than Cathy!

    Awards

Cathy won the Royal Mail Award for Scottish Children’s Books for Scarlett in 2007, the Lincolnshire Young People’s Book Award in 2009 and the 2013 Doncaster Book Award for Summer’s Dream. She was also crowned Queen of Teen in 2010.
